In another home-recorded episode during this period of isolation, we speak with musician Leon Benson by phone from prison in Indiana where he has spent that past 22 years, including 10 in solitary confinement. Leon speaks about truth, reflection and solitude, and how these concepts relate to the music he creates as El Bently 448. We finish with a couple of Marvin Gaye's most politically engaged songs from his iconic and transformative 1971 protest album What's Going On, in honor of the recent anniversary of his birth April 2, 1939.
