Jenifer Restrepo y Luis Jimenez
Tonight we had the chance to spend the show with Jenifer Restrepo from Medellin, Colombia, to Ellenville in NY. Jenifer has been spending her time working and creating community in the Kingston area. She works for the KCSD, helping others. But the most important thing is that she shares her story of coming to the States and how music has represented her. Her musical gallery is always around Colombia, she can define herself a little closer to the Bogota style of music.
She shared the time with Antonio from Mochilero and with Luis Jimenez, her partner, who came on the last part of the show.
Angelica and Angel Farfan
When two lovebirds get together, you'd expect them to dedicate love songs to each other, but it turns out their dedications are mostly for friends, family, acquaintances, and especially family. That was the philosophy I came to understand today with Angelica and Angel.
Angelica and Angel have decided that to maintain their love, it's through mutual support, companionship, but above all, by leaving things to the spirituality of a greater power. The song by El Tri, "that two rolling stones unite," or the philosophy of understanding that what's meant for you will be for you, is what I came to understand about the love they express.
Emiliano Malizia
Today we had Emiliano with us, who is from Mendoza, Argentina, but decided to pack his bags and travel, first through Latin America and then to the United States. Emiliano has found a special place in Kingston, full of community and opportunities. So we're going to share this journey with his songs, which will take us through all the stages of his life, from his beginnings as a backpacker to his working life in the United States.
Emiliano is now a specialist in renewable energy, and with that energy, he shared with us experiences that nourish his spirit and renew his soul.
No one, but two guest tonight.
That's call full house, we got two guests in the show today.
In the first hour, we chat with Karel David, bass player of the band "De Nalgas", and on the second hour, we had the chance to talk and enjoy the soundtrack of Erica Andrea Paniagua,
I am not sure which hour is my favorite. I think in a two-hour show, we might end with all of the favorite songs, or my songs are the favorites? I am so confused with so many favorites and so many songs as well. It's better if you listen to the show and decide.
La Dose of Music
We select a playlist for you and for everyone listening tonight. We are going to have more than a few inches of snow. So, be prepared and get ready for this cold weekend. We've got your snow shoveling companion, right here.
Mauricio "El Maury" Ferreyra
Mauricio Ferreyra tells us his stories throughout the music that has marked and made him the person he is. His eclectic taste of music is just a small representation of how vivid, colorful, and full of spectrum he is personally and with his family, a loving partner, father, and now also grandfather. He has family members listening to the episode from around the globe, but his roots are still vivid in the music that he chose.
A recap for the best of 2025

First Episode for 2026
With the best wishes for this new year, we begin with "The Perfect Dose" - La Dosis Perfecta - and the first episode for 2026, your year, my year, the year of all of us who have started this journey in 2026.
Music is the art of combining sounds in sequence and harmony, creating melody and rhythm produced by musical instruments, however, music is not complete without La Dosis Perfecta of rock music in Spanish. Rock in Spanish was influenced by musicians and bands from the United States who created rock and roll.
Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry, combined genres like Blues, Country, and Jazz together in one song. Ritchie Valens and the Chicano movement were the pioneers of rock in Spanish.
Rock in Spanish encompassed cultural and social movements in countries like Mexico, Argentina, and Spain, rock music intensified social movements and even with consequences that went beyond the scenarios. The wide range of musical genres that were born and that speak of social movements in Latin America are immense.
