Today, we were joined by Angélica Farfán, a community member whom we met through a community theater production in which we both participated.
Angélica has been living in Newburgh for about 10 years with her family: her husband, daughter, and now granddaughter, to whom they've even dedicated songs from the telenovela "Eternamente Bella." We also listened to cumbia and salsa music, classic tunes from Iztapalapa, Mexico City, where Angélica is from, that have made their way to New York.
