Happy Friday, friends! Today is Friday of immigration and culture at La Voz. Have you heard about Canta y Baila Conmigo? Today we learned about a new program that teaches Spanish and music to young children, and to their parents, with Miranda Haydn, director of Catskill Mountain Music Together, and teacher Annette Jiménez. Tomorrow they will have a free demo class at 11:15 a.m. at The Hot Spot Yoga in Kingston Plaza. In addition, we talked with Carlos Gerardo Izzo, Consul for Public Affairs, and spokesman for the Consulate General of Mexico in New York, about the services provided to the more than 1.5 million Mexicans who live in the tri-state area; and with Norma Pereira, traveling through Antigua, Guatemala, and the chumpipes. We also had some ideas for the weekend.
