Host Warren Lawrence interviews John Sebastian, legendary songwriter and lead singer from the 60s group The Lovin' Spoonful.

Sebastian began his career as a musician doing gig work, playing guitar and harmonica on some albums before forming his own band, The Lovin' Spoonful, in 1965. The band produced classic hits such as "Summer in the City," "Do You Believe In Magic?", and "You Didn't Have To Be So Nice." The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.

Sebastian has also been a composer for the musical Jimmy Shine and composed over 20 songs for a Broadway production of Charlotte's Web that unfortunately was never produced.

He appeared at Woodstock as an unscheduled performance, where he performed three songs off his then-unreleased album John B. Sebastian and two Lovin' Spoonful songs.

Sebastian himself was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008. He continues to perform and tour.
