Join us for a wonderfully wide-ranging, peak-fall-foliage discussion of nature awareness, phenology and the intersections of hard science and the lived human experience of the natural world with the amazing Dr. Kerissa Fuccillo Battle.

Kerissa is a research ecologist and community-science activist whose work is focused on biological impacts of climate change and plant-pollinator conservation. She has been working in the field of ecology and environmental education for more than two decades as a researcher, wilderness guide, grower, educator and writer. She founded and currently manages a non-profit called Community GReenways Collaborative as well as the New York Phenology Project, and works as a strategic advisor for organizations seeking to build capacity in the fields of conservation and education. The passion that drives her work is making science accessible through open source data collection and embodied land and forest practices.
