Wonderful conversation today with one of our region's most knowledgeable and committed naturalists and conservationists, lifelong local Steve Chorvas.
Steve is a born and raised local resident and naturalist who is well known by many for being very active in the nature and conservation community in our region. Among many hats he wears, Steve is a former board member of the Esopus Creek Conservancy which oversees the awesome Esopus Bend Preserve on the edge of Saugerties and he is also a longtime member of the John Burroughs Natural History Society (JBNHS) and frequently offers guided walks throughout the year and throughout the region to share his extensive knowledge with anyone who is lucky enough to join one of his outings.
