Heterofatalism was first coined in 2019 by Asa Seresin and Urban Dictionary describes it as "an attitude of embarrassment or negativity towards one's heterosexuality. Heterofatalism consists of a performative disaffiliation with heterosexuality and a desire to have a different sexual orientation."
