DORA INES GROSSO GARCIA

I am a woman, from Colombian, a mother of two children and grandmother of seven grandchildren, in love with life and this precious planet, I have lived in Shokan NY, for 12 years, surrounded by nature, my profession is Holistic Psychologist, with experience 30 years old, Teacher, pedagogue, Art therapist and I work in Kingston in Samadhi in an Addiction Recovery program. I love writing and doing group activities, family, and social integration. My dream is to contribute to the best of myself and make this planet a place of peace and love. For this reason, I believe that if we give love to children, they will take care of it, and we will be in harmony.

ELVIRA RODRIGUEZ

Was born in Metapán, El Salvador, and moved to Kingston in 2001. Her greatest passion is working with the community and she completed her studies in marketing and advertising in 2000 at Colegio Adonai, in her native country. Thanks to the New Start for Women program, she graduated from SUNY Community College at Stone Ridge with high honors in General Management in 2022. Elvira is the mother of two children, Danilo (20) and Génesis (5), and has worked in some places helping and providing care to the elderly, and to the community at the Broadway Bubble Laundry in the year 2022.
I am kind, charismatic, and enterprising. I always strive to achieve my goals. Have I really wanted to tell my childhood stories in Nuestras Historias”.

KAREN RAMIREZ

Hello, my name is Karen Ramirez. I am Mexican-American, born in the state of New Jersey where I lived for 7 years, I moved to Kingston living here for almost 10 years. I decided to join this radio program, to exploit new experiences and to learn more. I have two sisters who I would like to teach everything we set out to do can be a good admiration for them.

MARTHA TEPEPA

Martha was born and raised in Mexico City. Studied at El Colegio de México (Ph.D.) and at Columbia University in New York (Master’s in Cultural Anthropology). Her work has allowed her to have contact with urban and rural communities in Mexico and Argentina. Martha considers that multiculturality is a means to understand, learn and get to know the community. Martha is an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology at Western Connecticut State University. Martha has lived in the Hudson Valley since 2012 and has contributed to Radio Kingston since 2018. Martha also participates in a column in La Voz with Mariel Fiori which talks about the economy and the situation of countries in Latin America.
