Tyrone Wilson
Born and raised in Harlem, NY, at the age of 14 Tyrone Wilson became a youth counselor and became passionate for coaching, mentoring, and organizing. At age 19 he joined a Domestic Peace Corps, serving throughout the United States and providing community services. Tyrone moved to Kingston in 2013 and has held positions at St. Cabrini, the Trauma Center, Golden Hill and OCFS. In 2018 he created the non-profit organization, Harambee Kingston which hosted Kingston’s first African American Festival in 2019. Tyrone is currently Commissioner of Human Rights for Ulster County. Always looking forward to serving, supporting and uplifting individuals in the community, Tyrone now co-hosts Harambee Radio on Radio Kingston.
