Vanessa Benton aka Miss V is a dancer/dance educator,singer,actress,producer/director who has been active in the performing arts for over 25 years. She sat on the Queens Council of the Performing Arts aiding in the distribution of grants in the Queens,New York area. As a dance educator she has taught for The Bernice Johnson Cultural Arts Center, Cambria Center for the Gifted Child, Opus Community Services Inc. and a host of others.
While at Opus, Vanessa expanded their program to include language, customs and holidays across the world acknowledged in cross-cultural dance movement.
Vanessa is also a Reiki Master, Certified Personal Trainer, DXF Coach, and Founder of NEJAT Dance for Personal Empowerment. She also happens to be the daughter of the Legendary Singer Brook Benton popular in the early 60’s and known for such hits as: “It’s Just a Matter of Time” and “Rainy Night in Georgia”
