NY Climate Law At Risk, Leaks the Governor
n her recent state-of-the-state speech Governor Kathy Hochul paid not even lip service to the importance of preserving the state's ambitious climate law, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act. Now we know why. In leaked correspondence between her office and NYSERDA last week the idea that the law may have to be tinkered with because its mission of divorcing ourselves from fossil fuels is not happening fast enough was broached.
