Jon Bowermaster will host the Green Radio Hour every Sunday and will take a personal look at environmental issues impacting the Hudson Valley and beyond.
A thirty-year resident of the HV, writer and filmmaker Jon has made films on every continent focused on the relationship between man and nature, many for National Geographic. In recent years he has focused on the relationship between man and nature in his own backyard, specifically on risks and hopes facing America’s First River, the Hudson.
“We are blessed here in the Hudson Valley to be home to some of the savviest, most sophisticated environmentalists in the nation, working on local issues that often link to broad national stories. I think sometimes we take these committed advocates for granted; my goal is to highlight their work, share their voices, with an emphasis on the good works they’re doing, as well as continuing to sound alarms to continued threats.”
