Lots of great documentaries were shown at the just-concluded 25th edition of the Woodstock Film Festival, including the powerful "64 Days" by our neighbor in Rhinebeck, Nick Quested, which has two more local screenings coming up: The Moviehouse in Millerton (10.26) and Upstate Films in Rhinebeck (10.28). Nick and his filming team were embedded with the Proud Boys on January 6 but the most powerful part of the film is the documentation of the 63 days leading up to that date. With the impending election, it's a film every American voter should see. (64daysfilm.com). And Chicago-based filmmaker Matt Wechsler updates Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle," in his new doc, featuring Hudson Valley neighbor Mark Bittman, longtime NYT food critic and cookbook author.
