Good mid-week friends! Today in La Voz con Mariel Fiori is a Wednesday of education and family and we dedicate it, in large part, to a much-needed roundtable-style conversation on Zoom and Facebook live about Latinos and the movement for black lives. Incidentally, many Hispanics are also Afro-Latinos, so racism touches them from many sides. Joining the conversation were the young person Ale Campos, activist Diana López, councilman Jeffrey Ventura-Morell, and artist and community organizer Wilfredo Morel. This is just the beginning; the conversation about unity among oppressed peoples will continue.
We also had news of COVID-19 and good music. Happy birthday to Angelica Medaglia, journalistic producer of this program!
