Lila Downs: "In my land, in Oaxaca, I felt very discriminated against for being part indigenous"

Good Thursday friends! Today on La Voz with Mariel Fiori is a day of entertainment.

Jess Kelly, from UPAC and Bardavon, visited us to invite us to the series of events they have scheduled for these months.

One of the most important events coming up is Lila Downs' concert, on the first stop of her El Beso tour, which will be on Saturday, March 22 at 8pm at UPAC. The iconic Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning singer, Lila Downs is one of the most unique and powerful voices in the world. Raised in Minnesota and Oaxaca, the exquisite art of this global superstar unites traditions from all over the American continent, with influences ranging from folk and ranchera music from Mexico and South America to North American folk, jazz, blues and hip-hop. As a passionate human rights activist, Lila's lyrics often highlight issues related to social justice. We listened to an interview I had with Lila Downs about her concert and much more. By the way, do you have your tickets yet?

On Meet Kingston Radio, I spoke with Adam Snyder, host of Kingston 76, a radio show based on Snyder's novel of the same name.

And I gave you more ideas for the weekend.
