Happy Tuesday, friends! Today on La Voz with Mariel Fiori, it's a day of politics and health.
The Consul General of Mexico in New York, Marcos Bucio Mujica, visited us to share his news and answer audience questions. Do you have questions for him? You can send them to us at lavoz@radiokingston.org, and we'll ask them when he returns to the program. The Mexican Consulate on Wheels will be in Kingston from March 17th to 21st, processing passports, dual citizenship applications, and consular registrations at the Methodist Church at 122 Clinton Avenue. They will also have a one-stop Ventanilla where you can ask other questions, such as locating a detained family member, financial information, and how to complete studies in Mexico, among others. The number for emergencies is (917) 469-2143, and to schedule an appointment for the mobile consulate, call (429) 309-0009.
Diana López Martínez, a member of the City of Kingston's Rental Guidelines Board, invited the community to apply to the Board, a volunteer body that sets rental rates for buildings with more than six units constructed before 1974. The deadline is February 27.
We also met Dr. Estefania Martínez, a Venezuelan family medicine specialist with the Institute for Family Health. They are accepting new patients with or without health insurance.
