Good Thursday friends! Today on La Voz with Mariel Fiori is entertainment and environmental day.
It is also a day to learn the details of the new parklet opened by Radio Kingston on the corner of Broadway and Liberty. In Let's Get to Know Radio Kingston Jimmy Buff, Executive Director of the station, told us the history of this site, which had housed a mechanics workshop.
I also spoke with Susan Hereth, Education Director of the Kingston YMCA Farm Project and with some members of the YMCA Youth Design Team, Lisa Vargas, Manuel Pacheco, Christopher Vargas and Roselyn Vargas, who have participated in the design of the parklet, which features benches, tables with chess boards, five stations for charging cell phones and computers, a bulletin board, and even a public bathroom.
