Today on OUR STORIES, we're talking about the celebration of International Education Day.
It's a global commemoration celebrated every year on January 24th to recognize the fundamental importance of education in building more just, peaceful, and sustainable societies, as a right and as part of cultural development.
We also discussed the celebration of Environmental Education, to raise awareness of the planet and encourage people's participation in actions that protect nature and promote sustainability.
Our guest was Sara, who was born in New York from Puerto Rican and Dominican Republic parents. She told us about her life story, the stories she enjoyed, and the games she played, as well as her love for education.
