Creative Director and musician, Kelli Scarr with Dr. Catherine Svehla (mythologist) and Mary Evelyn Pritchard (ritualist) are the creative force behind Greater Mysteries, an ongoing cycle of seasonal gatherings in the Hudson Valley that explores transformation though the timeless arts of music, myth and ritual. On Friday, May 1, they will be presenting Lesser Mysteries at Opus 40 in Saugerties. We discuss the importance of ritual happenings. We need more opportunities to gather and engage in the archetypal and mythological aspects of existence during troubled times. Ritual gives beauty and context to what it means to be human. Audience members are invited to become participants in a ritual arc of transformation. There are only a few spaces left for Friday's event.
