Drew Andrews, Executive Director of the Center for Creative Education tells the story of how a successful fundraiser went from just an idea to a reality. When an elder expressed concern about the affordability of movement classes at CCE, the community came up with the idea to raise funds. CCE is well known for the support it gives Kingston's youth. CCE and friends raised over $5000 at last weekend's wine tasting event to reduce financial barriers for grown-ups who want to take a class. Now, adults and elders can stay healthier and benefit from the diverse classes that CCE offers for low to no cost. On May 16, UPAC will host CCE's largest fundraiser of the year. The theme is Broadway on Broadway. Pick up tickets at the UPAC box office or stop by the Center for Creative Education ta 16 Cedar Street. For more information about CCE, go to http://cce4me.org
