In honor of lead singer Andy Bell's birthday we're celebrating the music of Erasure. Their brand of dreamy synth-pop dominated the charts in the late '80s and the unabashed queerness of lead singer Andy Bell played a huge role in bringing LGBTQ+ culture into the mainstream.
Jami also welcomed special guest S. Leigh Thompson, a community organizer, professional coach, activist, and co-owner of The Asterisk. Together with his husband Charles, Leigh has created a space in Kingston centered around community care, social justice, and collective liberation.
"We imagine a place where we can do revolutionary-, care- and community-centered work alongside people who share our passion and vision for a liberated world. We believe creativity is healing, healing is justice, and justice is fueled by creativity."
