Host: Micah
Tonight my guests are Trish Santini & Frank Butler of Empire Training Center for the Arts located at the historic Chance building in Poughkeepsie. They have each dedicated their lives and work to the arts in numerous capacities. We discuss the core values of Curiosity, Problem-Solving, and Collaboration, and how these are embedded in ETCA (Empire Training Center for the Arts ).
In the performing arts, there has been a longstanding, and now urgent need, to provide professional training for communities historically underrepresented in the arts, to develop well-prepared technical and administrative employees, and to create a more equitable arts sector. There is also the need to serve the growing segment of young adults who seek an accessible, high-quality education outside the conventions of colleges and universities.
