About the Show

Those of us living in and around Kingston are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by a rich and beautiful diversity of natural ecosystems and ecological processes and we have a wealth of scientists, artists, naturalists, poets and environmental educators in our region who can help be our guides to gain a more personal understanding of what we are likely to experience and observe when we step outside. This show celebrates and explores many of the fascinating and intriguing creatures and natural phenomena happening right here in our midst in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. We hope to inspire listeners to see their familiar landscape through a new lens, because people will not fight for what they do not love, and that they cannot love what they do not know! This show is one small avenue for people to gain a deeper knowing of our little corner of the living, breathing world around us.
